Sunday, April 26th…ChimMaya is hosting a fundraiser for the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts.
Recently I was approached by BFA supporters…to host a fundraiser for the BFA. Ordinarily I would have declined…but after careful consideration, I decided that it would be great if we could broaden our support of the arts…by hosting this fundraiser.
ChimMaya has selected this event….to introduce the artwork of Ernie Anguiano. This talented young artist has completed a new body of work…specially commissioned by ChimMaya to celebrate our city. ‘Los Angelenos’ (The City Dwellers) depicts the people, faces, and nameless shadows…that exist within the night life of Los Angeles.
Musical performance by Moret w/Jaime Jaimes (Boleros, Tangos and Canciones del Amor).
Our goal is conservative for a fundraiser….100 tickets. ChimMaya is donating the venue, food, drink…etc. The entire proceeds from the door will go to the Bilingual Foundation of the Arts.
We are reaching out to friends and supporters of ChimMaya…to join us in raising funds for an important and necessary organization within our community.
