For our August exhibition…we decided to open a women’s show ‘Las Hembras’ in our Main/East Galleries.
Although ChimMaya has a long history of showcasing female artists, it has been a while since we set aside a dedicated show for women only.
Coming off the heels of our Frida exhibition, it seemed like a great choice to continue the celebration of women for our next show.
“Like the butterfly, we are all on a journey. On thisjourney we encounter endless turns, shifts, and conditions that cause us to metamorphosize. All change is good – even if it may not seem so at the time. Change is what life is made of and is necessary to grow and learn. At our journey’s end, we inevitably transformed – not at all the same as when we started on the path.” Wings of Change by Franklin Hill
Over sometime…there has been a noticeable presence of butterflies in the artwork of many artists who show, or have shown, in our gallery. Those pieces, seem to resonate with many collectors and our audience.
Keeping in theme with butterflies…we are opening ‘Metamorphosis’ in our North Gallery.
(rsvp appreciated, please include name and number attending)
ChimMaya is pleased to feature these two new exhibitions in our gallery.
