Laura’s art is an expression of who she is, with each piece being an extension of her spirit. Her paintings celebrate family, women and their quiet strength, love and unity, life and death, dreams, and nature. Her greatest inspiration for painting comes from her great-grandmother’s storytelling, which awakened her dreams that still inspire her to create to this day. Water and Wind play a large role in many of her paintings. Water because it is life giving, cleansing and quenching. Wind because it can whisper, or roar like faith that cannot be seen but can be felt.
