13th Anniversary – July Exhibition

Sunday, July 1st … we’re opening a new Group Exhibition – celebrating our 13th Anniversary!

Over the years our gallery has undergone many changes. When we first opened our doors, we were predominantly a retail boutique, selling women’s accessories…handbags and jewelry.

Before long, we were approached by local artists interested in displaying their art in our space. Although our initial business model was not art, we decided to move forward and began displaying art.

Fast forward to today…we have more than tripled in size and undergone at least 4 major remodels. ChimMaya has transitioned from boutique to Art Gallery, now…representing/exhibiting an international roster of artists.

We believe our growth…is fundamentally grounded in our ‘valued’ patrons/supporters, and the ever-growing interest in Chicano/Latino art that continues to be largely underrepresented, in many venues.

For our 13th Anniversary Exhibition, we invited many of the artists that we’ve consistently worked with over the years. We’re also including several artists that recently exhibited with us, who are emerging from the energy that is driving ‘social media’.
