Frida!
an homage to Frida Kahlo
Opening Reception …. Sunday, September 11th …. 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
I paint my own reality. The only thing I know is that I paint because I need to, and I paint whatever passes through my head without any other consideration. Frida Kahlo
Since her death, Frida Kahlo’s life has become the subject of countless international exhibitions. The interest in her life, and the fascination with the numerous personal and physical challenges that she endured throughout her life, have touched and inspired people over the years.
The symbolism of Frida’s life crosses socio-economic status, cultures, gender, and remains a fertile inspiration for contemporary artists all over the globe!
In recent years, Frida has been the subject of countless exhibitions in L.A. and beyond….as a result, for the past couple of years we took time off from opening any dedicated Frida shows. After repeated requests from customers and artists, our September show is an homage to Frida!
For this exhibition, we’re pleased to introduce several ‘new’ artists to our gallery!
