‘Julie Zarate’ …. ChimMaya Resident Artist …. North Gallery
In her 2nd featured exhibition at ChimMaya, Julie Zarate has created a new body of work for her L.A. audience. A consistent favorite of ChimMaya patrons and collectors, Julie will accompany her artwork from Texas for our opening reception.

‘Rojo’ …. Group Exhibition …. Main Gallery
This year…rather than create a themed exhibition for the Holiday Show in our Main Gallery, we thought about things that unify Christmas/Holidays in the minds of most people. Angels, Virgins…etc., will most likely be the standard for many galleries. For us, that would be a replication of what we’ve already done…we decided that the color ‘red’ is a principal element of the holidays.
With that in mind, we’re calling our Holiday show ‘Rojo’ selecting artwork that uses red, as a strong component in the paintings.

Continuing our tradition of ‘Size Specific’ exhibitions, we’ve invited various artists to create ‘New’ work on canvas we provide for them. This year we’re taking it further…by having all the work framed in floating frames, ready for hanging and perfect for Holiday gift giving.
